The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host the world’s largest one-stop jewellery marketplace from March 2 to 8, 2026, under its proven “Two Shows, Two Venues” format. The 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show runs March 2-6 at AsiaWorld-Expo, focusing on raw materials, while the 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show takes place March 4-8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, showcasing finished pieces. Together, they will bring together some 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions, with 70% coming from outside Hong Kong. Notably, exhibitor participation from Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and India has expanded, and Uzbekistan joins for the first time.
Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized the significance: “This year’s twin jewellery shows bring together some 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions... The HKTDC presents the world’s largest one-stop jewellery marketplace to highlight Hong Kong’s status as an international trade capital and jewellery sourcing hub.” The announcement comes amid strong global demand: Hong Kong’s export volume of premium jewellery to ASEAN recorded a 51% increase, while exports to the United Kingdom, Australia and Switzerland grew year-on-year by 36%, 28% and 10% respectively.
Over 40 themed pavilions will be featured, including a new Hard Pure Gold Pavilion debuting under the World Gold Council. This pavilion comprises 11 exhibitors from Chinese Mainland, showcasing innovative gold craftsmanship and aiming to leverage the fairs as a springboard for international expansion. Hard pure gold technology, which offers high purity and enhanced hardness for lighter, more durable designs, has gained strong momentum in Chinese Mainland. The World Gold Council will also host a seminar examining the latest developments in the global gold market and this technology.
Returning highlights include the Hall of Fame, which has expanded by more than 40% in scale, featuring international brands like Zen Diamond (Booth: CEC 3B-C12) presenting diamond ring collections with exquisite cutting techniques. The Hall of Extraordinary will showcase rare pieces, such as an 18K white and rose gold ring set with blue and light pink diamonds by Continental Diamond Company (Booth: CEC GH-C07) and a “pigeon blood red” ruby necklace and earring set by Unique Brilliant Ltd (Booth: CEC GH-C13).
Oriental aesthetics take center stage with pieces inspired by Asian culture and heritage. Guangdong JIABAO Pavilion Jewellery (Hong Kong) Company Ltd (Booth: CEC GH-A16) presents an 18K gold, handmade filigree butterfly brooch crafted with national intangible heritage techniques, each piece taking over four months to complete. Shenzhen Meifei Precious Metals Co Ltd (Booth: CEC 3E-E02) brings a “Palatial Modern Chinese Style” jewellery series incorporating six traditional gold techniques. The International Fei Cui Jewellery Design Competition 2026, organized by the Hong Kong Jade Association, will also hold its awards presentation during the fairs.
Innovative designs include zebra-pattern bangles by Austy Lee Company Ltd (Booth: CEC 1E-F32) for the Year of the Horse, and a brooch with movable wings and tail by new exhibitor Zheng Hong Collective (Booth: CEC 1CON-067A) in the Designer Galleria. The 27th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition, themed “Pure Elegance – Natural Beauty,” will announce winning designs during the fairs, nurturing creative talent among local students and professionals.
Rare treasures abound across both shows. At the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, Baroque Antique & Jewellery Limited (Booth: CEC CH-F13) presents a 1970s Buccellati pink sapphire suite, while World Coins Co., Ltd. (Booth: CEC CH-N12) showcases a 19th-century Italian bi-colour enamel diamond piece preserved in its original box for over 100 years. At the Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, Caram e.K. (Booth: AWE 8-F05) features an 18.98-carat AGL-certified natural pink sapphire, and Korite Ammolite Ltd. (Booth: AWE 8-F35) displays an 18K gold AA-grade ammolite and diamond necklace. A seminar titled “The Origins of Style: Tracing the Imprint of Time and Craftsmanship” will feature British historian and jewellery authority Dr. Jack Ogden.
Over 20 seminars and networking sessions will cover industry trends, digital marketing, and jewellery technologies, including how artificial intelligence moves from design to commercialization. The HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ hybrid format provides online business-matching via AI-powered “Click2Match” from February 23 to March 13, and on-site buyers can use “Scan2Match” to continue discussions online. The HKTDC Marketplace App offers online verification for eBadges, reducing queuing times. Free shuttle bus services between AsiaWorld-Expo and urban areas, including the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, will be provided.
