WebCE, a leader in online professional education, has been awarded a Gold Stevie Award in the Contact Center of the Year category at the 20th Annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. This marks the company's first Gold win and its fifth overall Stevie Award in this category, following Silver awards in 2024 and 2025 and Bronze awards in 2022 and 2023. The Stevie Awards are widely recognized as the world's top honors for customer service, contact center, business development, and sales professionals.
The award underscores WebCE's commitment to a people-first service model, which the Stevie judges described as "contrarian" in an industry increasingly leaning toward AI integration and outsourcing. Instead of relying on automation, WebCE invests in a rigorous training regimen for each support representative, enabling them to provide live, personalized assistance to 1.5 million customers navigating complex compliance requirements. A single representative can handle inquiries across 22 licenses and certifications without transferring calls, using scripts, or imposing rigid time limits.
Director of Support Services Jordan Smith emphasized the importance of human connection in an automated world. "Our support team is the heartbeat of WebCE, proving that, in an increasingly automated world, the ultimate competitive advantage is genuine human connection," Smith said. "I am incredibly proud to see their dedication recognized."
The judges also praised WebCE's operational efficiency, noting its "impressive average speed of answer results." Between 2023 and 2025, WebCE reduced its average time to answer incoming customer calls by 14 seconds, bringing it down to just 29 seconds. This improvement lowered the call abandonment rate to 1.5%, significantly better than the industry standard of 5%. Customers have responded positively, giving the team a 95% Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT), far exceeding the industry average of 74% as measured by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).
The Stevie Awards competition saw more than 2,100 nominations from organizations of all sizes across 41 nations and territories. Winners were determined by the average scores of 150 professionals on eight specialized judging committees. The awards encompass over 100 categories for customer service and contact center achievements, as well as categories for sales, business development, and AI in sales and customer service.
Stevie Awards President Maggie Miller congratulated the winners, stating, "The remarkable scores achieved by this year's Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service winners reflect the extraordinary levels of excellence, innovation, and customer impact they deliver." Winners will be celebrated at a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on March 5.
