VYRE Network Partners with Dr. Greg Carter to Curate Content for Texas and Regional Markets

VYRE Network (OTCID: VYRE), a free global streaming platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Dr. Greg Carter, founder of Nexus Entertainment and a veteran filmmaker and showrunner. Under the agreement, Dr. Carter will help guide VYRE's curated content strategy across Texas and adjacent regional markets, focusing on high-quality feature films, television series, docu-series, and live special events. This collaboration aims to strengthen VYRE's position as a platform for premium independent content while providing regional creators with global distribution and production infrastructure.

Dr. Carter, a Houston native and Texas A&M University graduate, brings over two decades of experience as a creator, director, producer, and showrunner. His portfolio includes more than 30 feature films and multiple network television projects, such as Lucky Girl, My B.F.F., One Crazy Christmas, Hip Hop Family Christmas, and Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, the latter produced with Jamie Foxx and Foxxhole Entertainment, premiering on VH1 through Viacom/MTV. He is also a professor of film media at the University of Houston Valenti School of Communication and a U of H President's Scholar. Most recently, Dr. Carter served as creator and showrunner of the AMC Networks dramatic series 5th Ward, which will be available on VYRE.

"Dr. Carter is both very talented and experienced. Our team is excited to bring on '5th Ward,' and for us to continue to collaborate in the future," said Lamar Seay, co-founder and chief content officer of VYRE Network. Dr. Carter emphasized his mission to empower regional creators: "My mission is simple: To empower regional creators and give them a real pathway to funding, development, production oversight, and worldwide exposure. Houston — and the entire region — is rich with untold stories and creative voices. This new office exists to cultivate those voices, shape them, and bring them to global audiences."

Through the partnership, Dr. Carter will collaborate with VYRE's executive programming team to curate, develop, and supervise production of regional content; establish strategic creator and studio relationships; package select projects; expand VYRE's footprint; and discover filmmakers from HBCUs and HSIs in the Southern region. He will also lead educational sessions for Texas-based creators on project financing, deal structure, pitching, and distribution pathways.

Beginning in 2026, audiences can stream curated titles from Nexus Entertainment and regional acquisitions free on the VYRE app across platforms including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, LG, Sony, Tizen-enabled devices, iOS, Android, and via the web at https://vyre.tv. This partnership underscores VYRE's commitment to empowering the next generation of filmmakers and creators by providing tools for success in the entertainment industry.
