UMT AG to Change Name to WAYDEAR AG, Completing Agentic AI Transformation

UMT United Mobility Technology AG (UMT AG) has announced that it will ask shareholders to approve a change of the company’s name to “WAYDEAR AG” at an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for 21 October 2026 in Munich. The sole agenda item is the amendment to the Articles of Association, with the Management Board and Supervisory Board proposing the change. The notice will be published in the Federal Gazette on 14 September 2026, and meeting documents will be available from that date in the Investor Relations section at www.umt.ag.

The rebranding reflects a fundamental operational transformation that has already been fully implemented. The previous name, United Mobility Technology, dates back to an earlier business model and no longer represents the company’s current activities. UMT AG now develops and markets agent-based AI solutions (Agentic AI) that automate document-intensive and regulation-driven business processes for small and medium-sized enterprises. Two product lines are on the market: the Catchflow Agent for EU import processes (CATCH/TRACES) and UMS Vision AI for transport and logistics companies.

This strategic shift is not merely cosmetic; it underscores the company’s successful pivot to a high-growth AI niche. In June, UMT AG secured NORDFROST, the German market leader in frozen food logistics, as a reference customer for CATCH automation, as well as EYE Logistics, another SME freight forwarding client, for UMS Vision AI. Additional customers have been added since. These wins provide tangible validation of the company’s technology and market fit.

Financial guidance published in August remains unchanged: break-even on a monthly EBITDA basis by the end of 2026, and revenue of between 1.2 and 1.5 million euros in the 2027 financial year with a revenue margin of 60 to 70 per cent. The revenue margin refers to the gross profit margin—revenue less variable sales commissions and other directly attributable service costs—expressed as a proportion of revenue.

“The reorganisation of UMT AG is complete. The products are on the market, we have secured our first reference customers, and the sales organisation is in place. The company name was the last element that still dated from a different era. With WAYDEAR, we will henceforth operate under a name that says exactly what we do,” says Erik Nagel, CEO of UMT AG.

The new name combines “Way”—path, process, direction—with “dear” in the sense of valuable, reflecting the company’s focus on automating business-critical processes. This clarity is expected to make it easier for customers, partners, and investors to understand the company’s value proposition, potentially enhancing its market visibility and attractiveness.

For shareholders, the change is seamless. The ISIN (DE000A40ZVU2) and WKN (A40ZVU) remain unchanged, and shares will trade under the new name following registration in the Commercial Register. A new stock exchange ticker symbol will be applied for after registration and announced separately. Shareholders do not need to take any action.

The name change is a strategic milestone that aligns the company’s brand with its operational reality. As UMT AG completes its transformation into a provider of Agentic AI solutions, the rebranding to WAYDEAR AG positions it to capitalize on the growing demand for automation in document-intensive and regulation-driven processes. The move signals confidence in its business model and could serve as a catalyst for further customer acquisition and investor interest. The extraordinary general meeting on 21 October 2026 will be a key step in finalizing this identity shift.
