Ucore Rare Metals Inc. (TSX.V: UCU) (OTCQX: UURAF) has announced the submission of its final Phase 1 report under the Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with the US Department of War, through the US Army Contracting Command – Orlando. The report includes a Final Demonstration Report and a Techno-Economic Analysis for work completed at the company's RapidSX(TM) Commercialization and Demonstration Facility. This milestone marks a significant step in Ucore's efforts to disrupt China's dominance in the North American rare earth element (REE) supply chain.
The report details approximately 6,000 hours of simulated commercial operation and over 10,000 recovery and purity comparison points. According to the company, these results demonstrate that Ucore's proprietary RapidSX(TM) platform efficiently executed solvent extraction chemistry and produced thousands of liters of rare earth chloride products. The platform's scalability and capital efficiency were highlighted as key advantages over conventional solvent extraction methods.
This achievement supports Ucore's broader strategy to establish a domestic processing capability for heavy and light rare earth elements. The company plans to develop a rare earth processing facility in Louisiana, USA, followed by additional separation and processing centers in Canada and Alaska. The long-term vision includes the development of the Bokan-Dotson Ridge Rare Heavy REE Project in Southeast Alaska, a 100% controlled asset.
