Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has announced the completion of its maiden drill program at the Highlands Zone and the mobilization of the drill to the Swan Zone at its 100%-owned, 300 km² Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. The company is targeting a copper-gold-silver porphyry system at the Swan Zone, which has never been drilled before, while the Highlands Zone drilling targeted high-grade, vein-hosted gold, silver, and copper showings. The two zones are 26 km apart and hosted in different geological units.
Daithi Mac Gearailt, CEO of Trailbreaker, stated that the Swan Zone is one of the most compelling targets in the company's portfolio, developed over the past five years through systematic exploration including geological mapping, soil geochemical surveys, induced polarization (IP) and airborne magnetic surveying. The Highlands Zone drill program was executed on schedule and within budget, with four holes totaling 883.40 meters testing a strike length of 500 meters and a vertical extent of 412 meters.
The Swan Zone target is defined by a 1.5 km x 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly with rock grab samples grading up to 11.7 g/t gold, 212 g/t silver, and 0.81% copper. The anomaly coincides with a 2.1 km x 1.4 km donut-shaped chargeability high from the 2024 IP survey and a magnetic low signature from airborne surveys. The diamond drill program will target surface and geophysical anomalies over an estimated strike length of 1,000 meters to a vertical depth exceeding 400 meters, aiming to improve understanding of mineralization controls and the deposit model.
In addition to the Atsutla work, Trailbreaker plans to drill several copper-gold porphyry targets at the Coho property in September 2026, located 30 km northwest of the Mt. Milligan mine in central BC. The Atsutla Gold Project, centered over the Teslin-Thibert fault system, has outlined five significant gold mineralization zones since its discovery in 2020, including the Highlands Zone with veins assaying up to 630 g/t gold and the Swan Zone as a porphyry target.
