Teramis Appoints Former DoD CMMC Leader Stacy Bostjanick to Advisory Board

Teramis, a platform for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) discovery, validation, and continuous monitoring, announced the appointment of Stacy Bostjanick, former Chief of Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Cybersecurity within the Office of the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer, to its Advisory Board. Bostjanick brings over 30 years of federal acquisition, cybersecurity, and defense contracting experience, having played a key role in developing and implementing the Department of Defense's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program.

As Chief of DIB Cybersecurity, Bostjanick served as the Department's focal point for implementing CMMC across more than 220,000 companies in the Defense Industrial Base and led the program through federal rulemaking. Her appointment comes as defense contractors increasingly focus on demonstrating compliance with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC requirements while reducing costs and assessment risk.

Brandon Sessions, President of Teramis, said, "Stacy's leadership has been instrumental in advancing cybersecurity across the Defense Industrial Base and helping organizations understand and navigate CMMC requirements. Her experience will be invaluable as Teramis continues to help defense contractors accurately identify, validate, and continuously monitor CUI." Teramis was built to address the challenge of knowing where CUI resides, enabling discovery across Microsoft 365, file shares, endpoints, email systems, and other repositories, producing defensible evidence for scoping and compliance.

Bostjanick noted, "One of the greatest challenges organizations face is obtaining accurate visibility into where sensitive information actually exists. Effective cybersecurity and compliance programs depend on sound data. Teramis is helping organizations replace assumptions with evidence, which is increasingly important as CMMC requirements become operational." Before leading DIB cybersecurity, Bostjanick held senior acquisition roles, including Head of Contracting Activity for the Defense Intelligence Agency and Senior Contracting Officer for missile defense programs, overseeing billions in defense contracts.
