ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) today published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing how the company is meeting accelerating demand, including from AI-driven workloads, through more resilient and sustainable infrastructure. The report highlights that the Singapore-headquartered data centre provider achieved 83.2% renewable energy usage and a 70.5% reduction in carbon intensity from its 2021 baseline, surpassing its 2028 target three years ahead of schedule.
The report positions responsible growth as a core business discipline for STT GDC, linking sustainability performance to long-term asset resilience and customer trust. Across its global platform, STT GDC integrates ESG considerations into capital allocation, site selection, design, and operations. Key environmental achievements include a 41.2% improvement in water usage effectiveness (WUE) from the 2020 baseline and an average power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.44, reflecting continued optimisation of data centre design.
Bruno Lopez, President and Group Chief Executive Officer, emphasized that responsible scaling is a commercial and operational imperative. The company also made strides in social and governance areas, maintaining zero work-related fatalities across more than 41 million hours worked and achieving a total recordable incident rate (TRIR) of 0.1. Workforce training averaged 18 hours per employee, and women representation reached 21.7%.
