SS Innovations to Host SMRSC 2026 in New Delhi, Showcasing Next-Generation Robotic Surgery Technologies

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII) announced today that it will host the third Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference (SMRSC 2026) in New Delhi, India, from April 9-11, 2026. The conference is expected to draw more than 1,400 attendees and 600 virtual participants from 17 nations, surpassing last year’s record numbers.

SMRSC 2026 will bring together distinguished surgeons, global thought leaders, and innovators to discuss and shape the future of robotic and minimally invasive surgery. Among the highlights are over 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, spanning multiple specialties. These demonstrations will explore critical aspects of telesurgery, including connectivity, latency management, cybersecurity, and clinical protocols.

Key innovations to be showcased include the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact chair-based version of the surgeon command center that enables portability and telesurgery from settings such as physician offices. Another highlight is the SSi Vimana Aero Drone System, a drone-deployed trauma surgery platform currently under development. Designed for battlefield use, the SSi Vimana Aero lands near casualties and deploys two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom, allowing a remote surgeon to perform procedures like hemorrhage control, wound repair, and shrapnel extraction via an SSi Mantra command center.

The conference will also feature Project Operion, an interactive display of the “Operating Room of the Future,” showcasing a mobile operating room platform on wheels. Additionally, the MantraM Mobile Robotic Telesurgery Unit (MantraM bus) will be on display, designed to bring surgical robotic care to underserved communities regardless of location.

Multispecialty sessions will cover urology, thoracic, gastroenterology, head and neck, gynecology, colorectal, general, and pediatric surgery, with separate cardiac-focused breakout sessions. Distinguished guests include Dr. Fred Moll, Vice-Chairman of SS Innovations and widely recognized as the “Father of Robotic Surgery”; Sri Madhusudan Sai, a global humanitarian; Dr. Naresh Treahan, Managing Director of Medanta; Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Former Director of the ISRO Satellite Center; and Dr. Ashutosh Tewari, Chairman of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations, stated, “We are thrilled to host SMRSC 2026 this week in New Delhi, where global experts in surgical robotic care will convene to discuss innovation and the future of our field. From live telesurgeries and robotic surgeries to demonstrations of exciting new technologies, this year’s event will be our largest and will continue to elevate the theme of decentralizing and democratizing access to surgical robotic care.”
