SNAH Healthcare has officially launched a new partnership with the City of West Haven, Connecticut, to provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and senior center shuttle services. The program, which began after a competitive municipality bidding process, aims to build a transportation model centered on trust, safety, and efficiency for governmentally funded services. All SNAH vehicles used for the West Haven program will be equipped with front and back-facing cameras to create a visual record of each trip, enhancing passenger and driver safety. This transparency ensures that SNAH's municipal partners can verify operations in real time.
A significant feature of the service is door-to-door assistance for seniors, many of whom face mobility challenges. SNAH's trained drivers provide hands-on help from passengers' homes to their seats on the shuttle and back, combining a person-centered approach with technological accountability. This model aims to reduce fraud and misuse of funding, a top concern for government agencies.
