Season 41 of Outstanding Photo Award Celebrates Global Talent Across 14 Countries

The Outstanding Maternity Award and Outstanding Photo Award have concluded their 41st season, showcasing the power of photography to connect cultures and celebrate life's narratives. Since its founding in 2014, the awards have grown into a global benchmark for prestige and inspiration in family photography, attracting submissions from professionals worldwide.

This season, photographers from 14 countries—including Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, the United States, and Uruguay—were recognized for their exceptional work. The winning images demonstrate the ability of photography to evoke emotion and tell deep, unforgettable stories, reinforcing the importance of such awards in validating an artist's vision and enhancing their credibility with clients.

According to the organizers, international recognition provides more than just poetic impact; it brings renewed enthusiasm and confidence to photographers. For potential clients, an award seal serves as a mark of trust and artistic excellence, helping photographers stand out in a competitive market. The Outstanding Photo Award has established itself as the first worldwide association and maternity photography award to adopt a format focused on family photography, further cementing its role in the industry.

The Season 41 judging panel featured two distinguished photographers: Yvonne C. Krystovsky of Germany and Wellington Fugisse of Brazil. Krystovsky, an internationally acclaimed photographer based near Stuttgart, specializes in maternity, newborn, family, and fine art portraiture. Her minimalist and emotionally resonant style, influenced by her academic background in interior design and architecture, has earned her top honors at the Black & White Minimalist Photography Prize and features in outlets like The Times and My Modern Met. As a speaker and co-founder of the Luminar Elite Akademie and Luminar Award, she evaluates submissions based on originality, composition, technical excellence, and emotional connection.

Wellington Fugisse, with over 15 years of experience and more than a thousand covered events, is a prominent figure in Brazilian and international photography. Known for his sensitivity and creativity, his work spans weddings, family sessions, and maternity shoots, always aiming to capture authentic emotions. Beyond his field work, Fugisse mentors emerging photographers through workshops and lectures and serves as an ambassador for major industry brands. His judging criteria focus on the ability to convey real human connections.

The awards continue to fulfill their mission of shining a light on life's most beautiful narratives and fostering global community among photographers. As Season 41 closes, organizers encourage photographers to submit their work for Season 42, emphasizing that international recognition can amplify reach and solidify an artist's standing. Photographers can enter via the official submission portal at Outstanding Maternity Award submission page.

The Outstanding Maternity Award, established in 2014, celebrates the art of maternity and family photography, providing a platform for photographers to gain visibility and reach new audiences. With each season, the awards reinforce their position as a global standard for excellence in the visual arts.
