At the 13th Schaeffler Automotive Symposium, held from June 15 to 17, 2026, at the new Project and Technology Center in Bühl, Germany, Schaeffler AG is presenting its latest product innovations and technological developments under the theme "Beyond Driving. Innovation made by Schaeffler." The event, which attracts over 300 customers, marks the first time the company showcases the expanded competencies and product portfolio resulting from its successful integration of Vitesco Technologies.
Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, emphasized the significance of the symposium as a platform for lively discussions and first-hand experience of innovations. He noted that the company is combining its strengths in mechanical engineering and mechatronics with new expertise in electronics and sensors. By 2035, Schaeffler aims to generate 10 percent of its revenue in new segments, while maintaining its core automotive business. "In addition to new growth areas, the automotive business remains central to Schaeffler," Rosenfeld stated, adding that Europe continues to be a core market for the company's most important customers.
The transformation of mobility and heterogeneous market developments globally demand high innovative capacity, resilience, and speed to market. Thomas Stierle, CEO E-Mobility at Schaeffler AG, highlighted the company's preparedness: "With our broad portfolio, our global presence and local supply chains, and our pronounced systems expertise, we consistently transfer innovations to mass production." He emphasized that Schaeffler is actively advancing the mobility transformation toward higher efficiency and comprehensive electrification.
The symposium offers a glimpse into the future of mobility, defined by connected, software-driven, electrified, and highly integrated intelligent vehicle systems. Matthias Zink, CEO Powertrain & Chassis at Schaeffler AG, explained the company's system-based approach: "One of our core strengths is the system-based approach that we take to link functions intelligently to provide a better driving experience." This approach is applied across more than 320 products grouped into four technology clusters: Vehicle Control, Chassis & Body, Powertrain, and Energy Management for passenger cars. For commercial vehicles, Schaeffler presents zero-emission solutions for battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), fuel cell-electric vehicles (FCEVs), and hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (H2-ICE). In the two-wheeler segment, the company showcases bearings, engine control units, automatic transmissions, and connectivity solutions.
The customer event is global in scope, organized every four years. After Bühl, the symposium will travel to Detroit (USA) on September 17, Suzhou (China) from November 4 to 6, and Tokyo (Japan) on December 2 to 3.
