PXG has announced the launch of the PXG One & Done ZT Putter, a high-stability mallet designed to help golfers simplify face control and produce a more consistent start line on the greens. The putter is built around PXG's Zero Torque (ZT) platform, combining a new onset hosel configuration, hollow-body construction, advanced face milling, and perimeter weighting to resist twisting throughout the stroke.
As the zero torque category gains momentum, this new mallet aims to broaden the technology's appeal with a confidence-inspiring design that fits a wide range of players. It expands PXG's ZT family, which includes blade profiles, high-MOI mallets, and long putters. PXG Design Engineer Matt Andrews explained, "This putter is designed to work with the golfer, not against them. By positioning the shaft axis just above the center of gravity, we significantly reduce torque forces that cause the face to rotate."
The patented onset hosel aligns the shaft axis near the putter's center of gravity, creating a toe-up balance point that minimizes rotational forces from takeaway through impact. An integrated forward press design positions hands naturally while maintaining effective loft. The hollow 303 stainless steel body is injected with PXG's lightweight S COR polymer, allowing mass repositioning to the extreme perimeter for substantially higher MOI. The polymer accounts for over 50 percent of internal volume, aiding stability and vibration control.
Performance is further enhanced by third-generation pyramid face milling with aggressive geometry to improve roll consistency and preserve responsive feel. The milled pyramid density optimizes interaction with golf ball dimples for uniform sound and launch. An ultra-thin face measuring just 0.055 inches thick is structurally supported by the S COR polymer, repositioning mass for perimeter weighting. Adjustable sole weights allow fitters to fine-tune head weight and bias.
