The Nordex Group has announced the acquisition of three new orders in the United States, with a combined capacity exceeding 480 megawatts (MW). These contracts involve the supply of 81 N163/5.X turbines, although the names of the customers and specific projects have not been disclosed. The projects will be tailored to meet customer-specific requirements, further solidifying Nordex's footprint in the U.S. market.
Manav Sharma, CEO of Nordex North America, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the company, stating, "These new orders reflect once again the trust our customers place in Nordex and in our ability to deliver and service projects reliably and efficiently." He highlighted that the company's momentum in the region is driven by strong customer partnerships, dedicated execution and service capabilities, and robust manufacturing capabilities. "Our focus remains on delivering value and supporting our customers’ long-term energy goals," Sharma added.
The turbines for these orders will be manufactured at Nordex's production facility in Iowa, underscoring the company's commitment to local manufacturing and supply chain efficiency. This development comes as part of Nordex's broader strategy to expand its presence in North America, which has seen growing demand for renewable energy solutions.
