Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) has released new assay results from its Murdock Mountain project in Nevada, indicating that heavy metal concentrations in the Upper Phosphatic Zone remain significantly below the maximum thresholds set for organic fertilizer certification. The results, from drill hole MM26-10, a 1.5-kilometre step-out along strike, continue to support the company's objective of positioning the project for the organic fertilizer market.

MM26-10 previously returned 10.89% P2O5 over 3.60 metres. The current assays measured individual samples from that interval for arsenic, cadmium, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals, all of which were below the limits cited by the company for the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials (AAPFCO) SUIP #25, which specifies maximum allowable heavy metal concentrations for fertilizers containing 10% P2O5. The company stated that these results demonstrate predictable, low heavy metal content in the Upper Phosphatic Zone.

The significance of these findings lies in the growing demand for organic fertilizers, which require raw materials with minimal heavy metal contamination. Nevada Organic Phosphate believes its project is the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate deposit in North America. The company's phosphate bed is 6.6 kilometres long, with additional applications extending the potential strike to over 30 kilometres. The project's location near the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and close to a rail head to California, provides logistical advantages for future development.
