NanoViricides noted that NV-387 is the only orally administered Ebola treatment candidate currently under consideration for clinical trials, offering potential advantages in resource-limited outbreak settings where infusion-based therapies can be difficult to deploy. NanoViricides said it believes NV-387’s broad-spectrum antiviral mechanism could provide activity against multiple ebolavirus strains and noted that the same oral gummies formulation has already received approval from DRC regulators for a Phase II trial in Mpox, with product already shipped to the country for that study.
