MEDICLIN Reports Solid First Half 2026; Revenue Up 5%, EBIT Improves

MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported consolidated group revenues of EUR 386.4 million for the first half of 2026, an increase of 5.0% compared to EUR 368.1 million in the prior year. Group EBIT improved to EUR 26.6 million, up from EUR 22.4 million, reflecting positive momentum from the first quarter. The company treated 54,708 patients, up from 53,183 a year earlier.

CFO Tino Fritz attributed the results to stability in core business areas, efficient cost management, and targeted investments. The Post-Acute segment, which generated EUR 263.0 million in revenue (up 4.6% year-over-year), saw EBIT rise to EUR 25.6 million. The cost of materials ratio declined to 19.0%, while staff costs increased 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, pushing the staff costs ratio to 55.2%.

In the Acute Care segment, revenue grew to EUR 111.2 million (up 6.3%), but EBIT remained negative at EUR -1.1 million, unchanged from the prior year. Cost of materials rose 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million, with the ratio increasing to 31.1%. Staff costs increased 6.3% to EUR 68.6 million, though the staff cost ratio remained stable at 61.7%.

The Care segment posted revenue of EUR 12.3 million (up 1.7%) and EBIT of EUR 0.2 million, a turnaround from a loss of EUR 0.2 million. The Service segment reported other income of EUR 69.2 million and EBIT of EUR 1.9 million, compared to EUR 0.5 million previously.

For the full year, management expects consolidated group revenue growth of 3.5% to 6.5% and group EBIT between EUR 57.0 million and EUR 72.0 million. The interim report is available at www.mediclin.de.
