Main Event, the family entertainment chain, is set to open its first Minnesota location in Woodbury on August 3, but a missing shipment of 10 bowling pins has prompted a community-wide search. The venue, located at Tamarack Hills (540 Bielenberg Drive), is inviting locals to participate in a scavenger hunt starting July 19 through July 28 to recover the pins and win prizes.
According to a press release, the missing pins never arrived at the destination, and the team needs help to get the lanes ready. Michael Frisby, General Manager of the Woodbury Main Event, stated, "We are so excited to bring the Main Event experience to Minnesota, but we need the community's detective skills to help us get our lanes ready for action." Each recovered pin unlocks a VIP invite for five people and a full year of free games. The person who finds the Golden Pin will receive the ultimate prize of Main Event for life. The grand opening on August 3 will feature laser tag, bowling, arcade games, a full-service restaurant, and a bar with offerings like the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich, Funnel Cake Fries, and specialty drinks.
