Liberty Puerto Rico has announced a new partnership with HITN, the leading Spanish-language public media network in the U.S., to bring Edye, HITN's award-winning preschool content ecosystem, to its television customers. Starting this week, Liberty TV customers in Puerto Rico can add Edye to any television package for $2.99 per month, gaining access to a safe, ad-free Spanish-language platform designed for children ages two to six.
Edye offers a curated library of over 2,500 episodes from more than 70 preschool series, featuring beloved characters such as Daniel Tiger, Pocoyo, Paw Patrol, and Molang. The platform also includes games, activities, and parent guides that extend learning beyond screen time, aiming to spark conversations between parents and children and turn screen time into family bonding opportunities.
"Puerto Rico has always been a core part of our audience, and this partnership lets us reach families wherever they are," said Eric Turpin, General Manager of HITN. "Edye was created to give parents peace of mind and offer children content that supports their development. Bringing this experience to Liberty customers means even more families on the Island can turn screen time into family connection time."
Quique Vivas, Chief Consumer Officer at Liberty, echoed this sentiment: "Adding Edye to our lineup is part of our commitment to bringing Puerto Rican families the best in entertainment and education, all in one place. Our customers are always looking for content they can trust for their little ones, and Edye is exactly that. We're very happy and proud to be able to offer this high-quality platform to our customers."
Edye will be available as an à la carte option within Liberty's entertainment packages and can also be accessed through Liberty Go, the exclusive app for Liberty TV customers that provides live channel access on mobile devices and tablets. Additionally, users can download the Edye app from the App Store and Google Play to enjoy the content on the go.
This move reinforces Liberty's position as the leading provider of broadband internet, video, telephone, and wireless services in Puerto Rico. By adding Edye, Liberty is responding to the growing demand for trusted, educational content for young children, offering families a Spanish-language alternative that prioritizes safety and developmental value.
Edye has been available for over seven years in Spanish and Portuguese on major digital platforms and devices, as well as through pay-TV, internet, and mobile phone operators in the United States and Latin America, including Brazil. Its expansion to Liberty Puerto Rico marks a significant step in making quality preschool content more accessible to Hispanic families in the region.
