Laconiko, the award-winning producer of single-origin, high phenolic extra virgin olive oils, has announced the arrival of its new harvest Koroneiki Estate Olive Oils, freshly pressed from the southern coastline of Lakonia, Greece. This release comes after a year of careful cultivation and precise harvest timing, underscoring the company's commitment to quality.
Diamantis Pierrakos, Producer and Co-Owner of Laconiko, emphasized the importance of green harvesting. 'Green harvested olive fruit tells a story of our land,' he said. 'The weather conditions created a challenging harvest year for much of Greece, but we never compromise on quality. We pick at the exact right moment, crush immediately, and obsess over quality so what ends up on your table is something we can be truly proud of.'
The olive oil is produced from early-harvested green Koroneiki olives and first cold-pressed within hours of picking. This year's oil is described as vibrant, fresh, and well-balanced, with green fruit notes suitable for everyday cooking, dressings, marinades, and finishing. Laconiko was recognized for this oil at the prestigious Athena International olive oil competition, where it received 'The Best of Show Award' for producing the 'Best Olive Oil from Greece' and 'Best Koroneiki Internationally.'
The new harvest is available for purchase at laconiko.com, at Laconiko's Manassas, VA showroom, and through select specialty retailers nationwide. Naturally high in polyphenols and oleocanthal, the oil delivers robust flavor alongside antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Two varieties are offered: Laconiko Estate Olive Oil ($29.95/500 ml) with fresh green fruit aroma and a peppery finish, and Laconiko Olio Nuovo ($39.95/500 ml) with bold green fruit notes and a persistent peppery finish, ideal for finishing dishes.
Laconiko's indoor and outdoor spaces are also available for private events, including private dining, corporate events, and micro-weddings. For more information on events, visit Laconiko Events. The company, a fourth-generation family business, produces extra virgin olive oils from Koroneiki and Kalamata olive varietals grown on the family estate in Lakonia, Greece, emphasizing purity and high quality.
