Kaufman & Company, the permanent capital holding company founded by Daniel Kaufman, announced on October 7, 2026, the launch of eight distinct brands that will serve as the public identity for its residential, places, and infrastructure businesses. The brands—Haven, Foundry, Trellis, Convivium, Everwell, District, Weekender, and ZeroPoint—are designed to communicate clearly what each asset class offers before audiences need to know which of the company’s ten operating companies built it. The move marks a significant step in the evolution of a platform that has grown rapidly across multiple real estate sectors and now seeks to present a unified yet differentiated face to the market.
The impetus for the rebranding stems from the platform’s expansion to ten operating companies, which created a disconnect between legal entity names and how residents, partners, and municipalities actually experience the work. As Kaufman explained, “We have been building across almost every asset class at once, and the work deserved names that say what it is. A Haven community, a Foundry community and a ZeroPoint campus solve very different problems. Our operating companies still do the building. The brands tell residents, partners and cities what they can count on from us, wherever we show up.” This clarity is intended to help a family seeking an attainable home, a nurse looking for an apartment near the hospital, a retiree wanting an active community, and a hyperscale tenant needing power and capacity each immediately understand the product they are engaging with.
Each brand addresses a specific segment. On the residential side, Haven focuses on attainable housing with new construction and public-private partnerships, operated by Design Build Affordable. Foundry delivers workforce housing near employment centers, operated by DanReDev. Trellis targets the scalable middle market with townhomes and build-to-rent neighborhoods, operated by Kaufman Development. Convivium offers tech-forward co-living and co-working spaces, fully integrated as both brand and operator. Everwell provides active adult and independent living communities, operated by Lonestar Kaufman. In the places category, District creates mixed-use destinations and walkable town centers, operated by Forge Development Partners, while Weekender is a design-driven hospitality brand operated by DEK Builds. Finally, ZeroPoint serves as the institutional brand for AI infrastructure, including data centers and power systems, operated by Kaufman Development.
The rollout will occur over the next twelve months, with every current and future asset rebranded to match its category. Several communities have already transitioned, such as Haven at Shelburne, Foundry’s Falls Landing, Trellis’s Greenview Residences, and Everwell at Harpeth Reserve. Importantly, the ten operating companies remain the builders and operators, and existing partner, lender, and municipal relationships continue unchanged. This approach ensures continuity while enhancing market recognition. By this time next year, Kaufman expects that anyone driving past a property or partnering on a deal will know exactly what was built and for whom. The rebranding not only simplifies the company’s public-facing identity but also positions it to scale more effectively across 24 states, reinforcing its long-term ownership and development discipline. As the platform continues to grow, these brands will serve as the connective tissue that ties together a diverse array of assets under a coherent promise of quality and purpose.
