Jesse S. Shapiro has been promoted to Manager of the Workers' Compensation Practice at Kornbluth Ginsberg Law Group, P.A., a move that underscores the firm's focus on specialized legal representation for injured workers in North Carolina. Shapiro, who joined the firm in 2024, is one of the few North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialists in Workers' Compensation Law, a distinction that positions him well to lead the practice.
In his new role, Shapiro will oversee the firm's workers' compensation cases, drawing on his extensive experience representing thousands of injured workers before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. His background includes handling claims involving catastrophic injuries, occupational diseases, previously denied claims, complex medical issues, and significant settlement negotiations. The promotion reflects the firm's confidence in Shapiro's ability to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Shapiro's legal career spans over two decades, during which he has secured multi-million-dollar results for personal injury victims. Before joining Kornbluth Ginsberg, he defended insurance companies and self-insured employers in workers' compensation and personal injury litigation. This inside knowledge of how the opposition operates enables him to advocate aggressively for his clients, leveraging insights gained from both sides of the courtroom.
Beyond his practice, Shapiro is actively involved in legal professional organizations. He serves as Vice President of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Workers' Compensation Executive Committee and is a Committee Member of the North Carolina Bar Association Workers' Compensation Section. His contributions have been recognized twice by the North Carolina Advocates for Justice for "extraordinary service rendered and in furtherance of the preservation of justice for injured workers in North Carolina." Additionally, he has been selected as a North Carolina Super Lawyer in Workers' Compensation, an honor based on peer recognition and professional achievement.
The promotion of a board-certified specialist to lead its workers' compensation practice highlights the firm's dedication to providing expert legal services in this complex area of law. As Shapiro takes on this leadership role, clients can expect continued strong advocacy and a deep understanding of workers' compensation law from the firm.
