The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host its annual August fairs from 13 to 17 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with a strong focus on wellness and quality living. Under the theme 'Live Well. Stay Well', the 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, and 12th Home Delights Expo will run alongside the 4th Food Expo PRO and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair, bringing together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions.
This year's events mark a significant expansion in global participation, with all ASEAN member states represented for the first time, including debut appearances from Brunei and Timor-Leste. New exhibitors from Colombia and Greece also join, while the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products, leveraging Hong Kong as a gateway to international markets. The Korea Pavilion has expanded by 40% compared to last year, hosting over 130 exhibitors, making it the largest overseas pavilion at the fairs.
The Food Expo PRO introduces a new 'Meat Zone' in response to growing demand for premium meats, featuring Korean exhibitors with frozen marinated barbecue products and a Hong Kong brand entering the B2B market with halal-certified beef tendon balls. The popular 'Coffee Zone' returns with a more international lineup, including exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. A new 'Food Science and Technology Zone' will highlight alternative and future foods, with a Hong Kong exhibitor demonstrating an intelligent food-service robot that showcases automation in dining solutions.
For the first time, Food Expo PRO includes pet food products, reflecting the expanding pet economy. A Hong Kong exhibitor uses patented packaging technology to preserve nutritional value without preservatives, enabling room-temperature storage. The halal food and beverage label returns for the third consecutive year, with over 130 exhibitors from various markets, and a networking reception on 14 August will connect halal food exhibitors and buyers.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will feature rare teas, including first-flush Kunlu Mountain purple bud pu'er from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, Kenyan tea, and Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka. New pavilions include the Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion, showcasing ceremonial and beverage-grade matcha from Guizhou and Zhejiang, and the Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion, highlighting traditional purple clay craftsmanship. The new 'TeaLifestyle' zone introduces innovative products such as sparkling tea, tea-based cocktails, and Pu-er coffee blends, along with tea pastries and Zen-inspired bonsai, demonstrating tea culture's integration into modern living.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo welcomes back the 'Scentsation' zone, with the debut of the Xuelei Fragrance Museum offering an interactive experience. A new 'Stay Relax' zone features red-light therapy capsules and medicated wellness balms. The Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep and smart living, with the Sleep Health Association launching 'Go Sleep Exp' and HKT offering discounts on smart home appliances, including its award-winning F5G-A 2500M Super Broadband service.
The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM), expanded to three days, will explore regulatory policies and global pathways for traditional medicine. With over 30 speakers from around the world, the hybrid conference aims to facilitate international exchange and promote Hong Kong's regulatory framework.
To celebrate HKTDC's 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission before noon for designated leaflet holders (limited to 600 per day) and '6'-themed offers from exhibitors.
