Hinz Motorsport, a manufacturer of high-performance automotive components, has announced the release of its Hinz Carbon Ceramic Brake System, a braking solution engineered to address inventory shortages, rising costs, and tariffs affecting traditional suppliers. The system, developed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, combines advanced materials and controlled manufacturing to deliver enhanced performance while providing long-term value.

Central to the design is a unique integrated friction layer that accommodates more aggressive brake pad compounds and extends disc life. The system is produced using a slower, precision-controlled process that minimizes impurities and promotes uniform silicon infiltration, resulting in a higher-grade silicon carbide structure. This approach contributes to greater consistency, strength, and reliability under demanding conditions, according to the company.

Key performance advantages include improved cold bite for enhanced braking in low temperatures, a higher friction coefficient for stronger stopping power, an easier bed-in process, expanded pad compatibility, increased durability and longevity, low dust and noise, and weight savings that improve vehicle dynamics. The system has undergone extensive third-party testing through PFC, an independent brake manufacturer, with evaluations confirming its performance and durability relative to established products.

The system is now available for order, with lead times of approximately 14 weeks for non-stock configurations, and the company is expanding inventory to meet demand.
