Hep Global Appoints Martin Vogt as CEO, Christian Hamann Transitions to CFO

Hep Global Group has announced a significant reorganization of its management team, effective immediately. Martin Vogt, 44, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding company founder Christian Hamann, 55. Hamann, who stepped down as CEO at his own request after nearly 17 years, will remain with the management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This carefully prepared succession plan underscores hep global's commitment to continuity in corporate leadership and a clear distribution of responsibilities.

Martin Vogt has been with the hep global Group since early 2024 and most recently served as Chief Project Officer, overseeing global project development. In this role, he played a key part in the strategic and operational advancement of the project business. His deep understanding of the company's markets and strategic priorities positions him well to lead hep global into its next phase of development. The management team is further rounded out by Georg von Eichendorff Strachwitz, who has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2021.

Christian Hamann expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him over the past 17 years. "As an international developer of solar energy projects, we have made a significant contribution to the energy transition since our founding," he said. "Martin Vogt is a leader who knows our company, our markets, and our strategic priorities very well. At the same time, I will remain closely connected to hep global as CFO and will focus on the company's financial management. This allows us to establish clear lines of responsibility while ensuring continuity in corporate leadership."

Martin Vogt also commented on his new role, thanking founders Christian Hamann and Thorsten Eitle, as well as other shareholders, for their trust and contributions. "hep global has many years of experience in the international development of solar energy projects and an established platform in our core markets," Vogt said. "In recent years, we have consistently adapted our organizational and cost structures to changing market conditions. In doing so, we have laid the groundwork for the next phase of development. Our focus remains clear: We want to further strengthen our position as a reliable partner for the development of solar and battery storage projects. To this end, we are committed to continuity in our strategy and management, a focus on our core European markets, and targeted new growth initiatives."

The reorganization comes at a critical time for the renewable energy sector, as demand for solar projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS) continues to rise. Hep global Group, an internationally active specialist in the development of solar projects and BESS, has been operating for more than 15 years. The owner-managed company from Baden-Württemberg develops and plans renewable energy projects mainly in Europe, Japan, and North America, with a strategic focus on greenfield developments and the integration of BESS. The company employs around 120 people worldwide with subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, Poland, the USA, Canada, and Japan.

This leadership transition is significant as it ensures stability while allowing Hamann to concentrate on financial management, an area he already took responsibility for in May 2026. Vogt's promotion from within the company signals a smooth handover and reinforces hep global's commitment to its core strategy. As the energy transition accelerates, hep global's ability to maintain continuity and focus on growth initiatives will be crucial in strengthening its position as a reliable partner in the renewable energy market.
