HeartBeam Study Demonstrates Portable ECG Device Can Identify Heart Attack Risk

A new study published in JACC: Advances reveals that a risk prediction algorithm incorporating HeartBeam Inc.'s (NASDAQ: BEAT) portable ECG device can effectively identify heart attack risk in patients presenting with chest pain. The proof-of-concept study, which evaluated 184 patients, achieved an area under the curve (AUC) of 86.5% using a single HeartBeam ECG reading combined with patient risk factors and symptoms. When a personal, symptom-free baseline ECG was available for comparison, the AUC rose to 92.9%. These results support heart attack detection as a future indication for the HeartBeam System and advance the company's broader clinical program.

HeartBeam is a medical technology company focused on transforming cardiac care by providing powerful cardiac insights. The company is developing the first cable-free device capable of collecting ECG signals in 3D from three non-coplanar directions and synthesizing them into a 12-lead ECG. This platform technology is designed for portable devices that can be used wherever the patient is to deliver actionable heart intelligence. Physicians can identify cardiac health trends and acute conditions and direct patients to appropriate care outside of a medical facility.

The HeartBeam System with 12-lead ECG synthesis software for arrhythmia assessment received FDA clearance in December 2025, as noted in the company's cleared indications for use. The company holds over 20 issued patents related to technology enablement. For more details on the study, visit the full press release at https://ibn.fm/ainxV.
