Greenland Mines and AnorTech Formalize Share Exchange to Advance Critical Materials Processing

Two companies with deep roots in Greenland’s mineral landscape have formalized a relationship that could reshape how each of them is valued. Greenland Mines (NASDAQ: GRML) has closed a strategic share exchange with AnorTech Inc. (TSX-V: ANOR; OTCQB: ANORF), a deal that gives Greenland Mines its first foothold in midstream critical materials processing while giving AnorTech access to a NASDAQ-listed partner with growing capital markets presence and a portfolio of world-class Greenland assets.

The transaction, announced June 16 and formally closed by the end of the month, is structured as a share exchange rather than a cash acquisition. Greenland Mines issued 12,400,000 of its common shares to AnorTech, valued at approximately $3.5 million at closing. In return, Greenland received proprietary processes to extract high-value materials from anorthosite, a rock type abundant in Greenland and on the moon. AnorTech is developing technologies to extract rare earths and advanced materials from anorthosite, positioning the combined expertise to target the midstream segment of the critical materials value chain.

This deal moves Greenland Mines closer to the midstream segment, a crucial step in the critical materials value chain where raw materials are processed into high-purity compounds used in electronics, defense, and green energy technologies. By tying together rare earths and advanced materials in a single share exchange, the companies aim to create a vertically integrated supply chain from Greenland’s mineral resources to processed materials for global markets.

For AnorTech, the partnership with a NASDAQ-listed entity like Greenland Mines provides enhanced capital markets visibility and potential access to a broader investor base. AnorTech’s proprietary extraction processes could benefit from Greenland Mines’ existing asset portfolio, which includes some of the world’s highest-grade rare earth and uranium deposits in Greenland. The collaboration may accelerate the development of commercial-scale processing facilities.

The announcement carries significant implications for the critical minerals sector, particularly as Western nations seek to reduce dependence on Chinese rare earth processing. Greenland’s strategic location and mineral wealth have attracted increasing attention from governments and companies aiming to secure supply chains for materials essential to electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems. By integrating upstream mining with midstream processing, Greenland Mines and AnorTech could offer a more resilient supply chain model.
