Frontieras North America announced the appointment of John Venners, Jean Abiassi and Stephen R. Boatwright to its board of directors, adding expertise in energy policy, infrastructure development and corporate finance as the company advances commercialization of its FASForm(TM) Solid Carbon Fractionation technology in West Virginia. The new directors bring decades of leadership across global energy markets, large-scale construction and capital markets, which the company said will support its transition from engineering milestones to full commercial operations while strengthening execution, financing strategy and long-term growth initiatives.
John Venners brings over 30 years of experience in energy policy and regulation, having served in senior roles at the U.S. Department of Energy and as a consultant to major energy companies. His background includes work on carbon capture and storage technologies, which aligns with Frontieras’ focus on clean energy solutions. Jean Abiassi has extensive experience in infrastructure development, including project management for multi-billion-dollar construction projects in the energy sector. He has held leadership positions at several engineering and construction firms, overseeing the delivery of complex projects on time and within budget. Stephen R. Boatwright is a seasoned finance executive with over 25 years in investment banking and capital markets, specializing in raising capital for energy and technology companies. He has advised on numerous public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
The appointments come as Frontieras prepares to scale its FASForm technology, which transforms coal and other hydrocarbons into clean-burning fuels, hydrogen, industrial carbon, and agricultural products. The company is focused on delivering abundant, affordable, and available energy through profitable, market-driven innovation. The new board members are expected to play a key role in guiding the company through its next phase of growth, including securing financing, building strategic partnerships, and navigating regulatory landscapes.
