Forward Industries Builds Solana-Focused Treasury Platform with Active On-Chain Strategy

Forward Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: FWDI) is building a Solana-focused treasury platform designed to generate value through active participation in the Solana ecosystem, including staking, lending and decentralized finance. The company currently holds more than 7 million SOL, while its validator infrastructure has generated gross annual yields of approximately 6.5% to 7.2% before fees, and roughly 25% of its SOL holdings are represented by its proprietary liquid staking token, fwdSOL.

Forward has also announced a letter of intent and made an offer to acquire the Solana Company, which it believes could create value through greater scale and combined Solana expertise. This strategic move underscores Forward's commitment to expanding its footprint within the Solana ecosystem and enhancing shareholder value.

According to the company, its mission is to expand and strengthen the Solana ecosystem by acquiring and staking SOL and engaging with, providing tools to and investing in the Solana network, Solana developers and Solana related projects. In connection with a private placement transaction in September 2025, Forward launched a digital asset treasury strategy supported by industry leading investors and operating partners including Galaxy Digital and Jump Crypto.

The announcement highlights Forward's active on-chain strategy, which involves not only holding SOL but also actively participating in the network's operations through staking and validating transactions. The company's validator infrastructure has been generating competitive yields, and the introduction of fwdSOL, a liquid staking token, allows Forward to maintain liquidity while earning staking rewards.

The potential acquisition of the Solana Company could further bolster Forward's capabilities, providing access to additional expertise and resources. This aligns with the broader trend of institutional adoption of blockchain technologies and the growing interest in Solana as a high-performance blockchain platform.
