The 35th Education & Careers Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will take place from 22 to 25 January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, open to the public with free admission, is divided into separate "Education" and "Careers" sections and brings together over 860 organizations from 23 countries and regions, including government bureaux, tertiary institutions, and education centers.
This year's Expo introduces an upgraded "CV Clinic" with new services such as Personal Colour Analysis, 16 Personality Types Magic Quiz, one-to-one trainee and career consultations, and an Aptitude Test Ready Station. These additions aim to help job seekers gain deeper insights into their personal strengths and plan career paths with clarity. Services are available through the Education & Careers Expo website, with limited quotas on a first-come, first-served basis.
Smilely Lam, Assistant Executive Director of HKTDC, emphasized the Expo's theme "Go with Your Passion, Go Beyond Limits," focusing on key areas such as Civil Servants & Public Services, Next Gen Technologies, Healthcare & Wellness, and Greater Bay Area Opportunities. The Expo will host seminars to inspire university and overseas students to explore employment in Hong Kong, showcasing the advantages of local institutions and enhancing Hong Kong's status as an international education hub.
The "Education" section includes zones for local studies, non-Hong Kong education, lifelong learning, and youth. Highlights include the SOPHIE 8x solar car model from the Vocational Training Council and an AI Tower Crane Simulator from the Hong Kong Institute of Construction. The "Non-Hong Kong Education" zone offers study abroad advisory services from consulates and universities worldwide. The "Lifelong Learning" and "Youth Zone" sections provide training programs and career planning support.
In the "Careers" section, over 30 government departments and public organizations will recruit talent, including the Civil Service Bureau, Airport Authority, and various financial institutions. The "Recruitment Square" allows employers to conduct onsite interviews. The updated CV Clinic features six services, including one-to-one consultations and professional portrait photography provided by Jobsdb, and aptitude tests by MT20 Consulting Limited.
Over 100 activities across four themed days will feature industry experts. Notable speakers include singer-songwriter Serrini, film directors Ho Cheuk-tin and Chiu Sin-hang, and DJ "Ah Jeng." The Expo also offers an "Instant Career Snapshot" AI photo experience and limited-edition souvenirs. For details and registration, visit the Expo registration page.
