International Business Trainings LLP has announced that Eduard Beltran, an international expert in negotiation, leadership, and strategic influence, has been elected a Full Member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, affiliated with the society's New York University Chapter. The election followed a review by Sigma Xi's Committee on Qualifications and Membership, reflecting Beltran's professional and academic trajectory that combines research, international practice, and university teaching.
Sigma Xi, founded at Cornell University in 1886, is a prestigious scientific honor society dedicated to recognizing excellence in scientific research and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Full Membership is conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated noteworthy achievement as original investigators in pure or applied science. Beltran's membership aligns with the society's mission to encourage cooperation among researchers across disciplines.
Beltran's work, in collaboration with Sigma Xi, emphasizes negotiation, strategic influence, leadership, trust, and conflict management. His research bridges academic inquiry with the analysis of complex decision-making and influence processes in organizations and institutions. Currently, he is completing doctoral research in communication focused on the dynamics of strategic influence, mobilization, reputational pressure, negotiation, and institutional change. His research examines 29 campaigns conducted by Greenpeace Argentina between 2000 and 2021 and develops an analytical model for understanding how influence strategies can contribute to verified institutional outcomes.
Beltran's academic background includes studies in law and political science and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law. He has taught and delivered executive education in international academic and professional environments, including ESSEC Business School, Sciences Po Paris, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He has also worked with executives and organizations across multiple countries.
