Drug-Free World Brings Prevention Education to Los Angeles County FIFA World Cup Watch Party

On June 24, 2026, the Drug-Free World Foundation brought its drug-prevention education campaign to a FIFA World Cup watch party at Amelia Mayberry Park in Los Angeles County, reaching hundreds of attendees with factual information about the dangers of drugs. The event, held during the Czechia vs. Mexico match, featured the Drug-Free World Mobile Exhibit, part of the organization's FIFA World Cup campaign. Approximately 250 people engaged directly with the exhibit, while thousands of educational booklets were distributed to families, community members, public officials, and law enforcement.

The outreach resonated with local officials and community organizations. A local official expressed appreciation for having drug-prevention materials available and suggested providing boxes of educational booklets to a nearby teen center. Another attendee, who had overcome drug addiction and been sober for 20 years, shared her story and requested materials to share with her family and school. The event organizer was so impressed that she took the remaining booklets for community distribution and expressed enthusiasm about future collaboration.

Community-service professionals also showed interest. A representative from a social services organization received an information kit and 200 booklets, expressing interest in arranging a presentation. Another attendee, who provides medical services to unhoused individuals, requested 200 booklets after regularly encountering the effects of drug use. Children at the event participated by signing the Drug-Free World pledge board, committing to a drug-free life.

By the end of the event, Drug-Free World had distributed approximately 3,000 Truth About Drugs booklets, provided educational portfolios, and engaged hundreds through its prevention outreach. The foundation is dedicated to educating young people and adults about the truth regarding drugs so they can make informed decisions and live drug-free lives.
