Dianetics Volunteers Conclude Mental Health Awareness Month Outreach in Sacramento

As Mental Health Awareness Month concludes, the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation of Sacramento continues its efforts to address stress and emotional well-being in the community. Throughout the past week, volunteers participated in a global outreach spanning 50 nations, providing practical tools and information on mental wellness. The initiative aimed to address the growing mental health challenges faced by many Americans, particularly young adults. Studies indicate that roughly half of adults under 30 find managing stress to be a major challenge, while many young people rate their mental health as fair or poor.

Volunteers distributed complimentary stress tests, educational materials, and invitations to local seminars at venues such as Denio's Farmers Market and the Galt flea market. The outreach coincided with the anniversary month of L. Ron Hubbard's book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, first published in 1950. Foundation staff member Frencis Iraola noted a memorable interaction with a mother and son who took a stress test together. "When they saw that they shared similar areas of stress, they became very interested in learning more. They picked up a copy of the book and wanted additional information about our activities," Iraola said.

Larrianne McIntyre, Director of the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation of Sacramento, emphasized that mental health awareness should extend beyond May. "Every day we meet people dealing with work pressures, financial concerns, family challenges, and the many stresses that come with modern life," she said. "Dianetics provides practical tools people can use to better understand the sources of stress and take positive steps toward improving their lives."

The Sacramento outreach was part of a coordinated international campaign involving volunteers in more than 250 cities across 50 nations, including Los Angeles, London, New York, and New Delhi. The foundation offers introductory demonstrations, lectures, and weekend seminars for those interested in learning more. For additional information, visit www.dianetics.org.
