Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT), a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement and real-world asset tokenization technologies, has appointed Dr. Barry Childe as chief information security officer, the company announced July 20. In this role, Childe will lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy, strengthen data protection across its tokenization, valuation and secure data monetization platforms and oversee initiatives focused on AI security and quantum-resistant technologies.
Childe brings more than 40 years of experience in cybersecurity, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure and distributed-ledger technology. His career includes leadership positions at HSBC, Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland and VMware, as well as co-founding quantum-encryption company Arqit. CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley said Childe’s expertise in cryptography, high-performance computing and quantum-resistant security will help support the company’s secure infrastructure as it expands its tokenization, valuation and data monetization platforms.
The appointment comes as Datavault AI, headquartered in Philadelphia, advances its cloud-based platform for AI-driven data experiences, valuation and monetization of assets in the Web 3.0 environment. The company’s platform serves multiple industries, including high-performance computing software licensing for sports and entertainment, events and venues, biotech, education, fintech, real estate, healthcare and energy. The Information Data Exchange enables Digital Twins and the licensing of name, image and likeness by securely attaching physical real-world objects to immutable metadata.
