Mike Dreher, co-founder of The Dream Team, emphasized the importance of the first few months in building momentum. "The first few months are where most people either build momentum or lose it," he said. "This initiative is about making sure nobody gets stuck in that stretch without someone to turn to. We've seen how much of a difference it makes when someone has a specific person to ask, instead of trying to sort through generic advice on their own."
Darren Ewert, the other co-founder, noted that the initiative grew from consistent feedback from the community. "Our members have told us, over and over, that the mentorship relationship is what makes the difference for them, more than any tool or resource we've built. So we asked what more we could do specifically on that front, and this initiative is the answer to that question," Ewert said.
