Charbone Unveils 2026-2030 Strategic Plan to Transform into Integrated Industrial Gas Group

Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a North American producer of clean Ultra High Purity (UHP) hydrogen, today unveiled its 2026-2030 strategic plan, outlining a transformation into an integrated, global industrial gas group. The plan, detailed in a press release, marks a pivotal step in the company's evolution beyond its core UHP hydrogen business into UHP gases, specialty gases, and industrial atmospheric gases, aiming to strengthen recurring revenue and operational efficiency.

Building on a foundation in decarbonized UHP hydrogen, Charbone aims to become a premium mid-tier player, occupying a unique strategic space between major industrial gas companies and regional distributors. The company is differentiating itself through quality, metrology, and traceability, targeting high-growth industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies. These markets demand impeccable quality, speed of execution, and security of supply—pillars central to Charbone's approach.

The strategic plan is built on a two-pillar structure in North America. Pillar A focuses on UHP and specialty gases—including UHP Hydrogen (HyChem UHP™), Helium, Electronic Gases, and Specialty Gases—which offer high margins. Pillar B targets industrial and atmospheric gases such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, UHP Argon, CO2, and Industrial Blends, providing recurring revenue and optimizing logistics. This combination is intended to increase commercial depth, customer loyalty, and financial resilience. Charbone plans to strengthen its presence in the Northeast and Pacific technology corridor of the U.S.

A key element of the plan is a disciplined operating model centered on regional hubs and an asset-smart approach. The company will continue developing the Sorel-Tracy plant in Quebec as its anchor, while deploying 6 to 8 regional hubs across North America and internationally. These hubs will reduce time-to-market, standardize operations, strengthen customer relationships, and optimize logistics costs. The hub-and-spoke model is designed to support growth while maintaining capital discipline ahead of additional industrial gases production capacity.

Charbone also targets international expansion with a focus on Europe and Asia-Pacific. In Germany, the company plans to establish a strategic UHP platform, while Malaysia will serve as an Asian hub for semiconductors and electronics. Expansion will follow an asset-light approach, emphasizing partnerships and structuring contracts. “At CHARBONE, we are not changing direction, we are expanding it with discipline. We started with one molecule: clean UHP hydrogen. Today, we are building an integrated platform of high-value industrial gases, tailored to the critical needs of the industries of the future,” said Dave B. Gagnon, Charbone’s Chairman and CEO, in the announcement.

Charbone’s integrated model reduces risk, enhances scalability, and enables diversified revenue streams through partnerships in helium and other specialty gases. The company is committed to supporting the global transition to a lower-carbon economy by providing accessible, decentralized clean hydrogen and specialty gas solutions. Charbone is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, OTC Markets, and Frankfurt Stock Exchange, with more information available at www.charbone.com.
