CAHEC, a community development organization dedicated to strengthening communities through affordable housing and supportive services, has announced the appointment of Corine Sheridan to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2026. Sheridan brings more than 40 years of experience in affordable housing finance and investment, which will provide valuable strategic guidance as the organization continues its mission.
Sheridan retired in late 2024 following a career focused on expanding access to affordable housing nationwide. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions at Berkadia from 2021 to 2024, where she led the Tax Credit Syndication team's nationwide origination and acquisition strategy. Prior to that, she spent nearly two decades at Boston Capital as Director of Originations, developing and executing targeted origination strategies that directed capital to communities with critical housing needs across the United States.
In 2024, Sheridan co-founded Sheridan Consulting, a firm providing financial and organizational expertise to nonprofits, housing authorities, and other affordable housing practitioners. Her continued commitment to the sector is also evident through her board service with the Light House Shelter in Annapolis, Maryland; the Anne Arundel County Affordable Housing Coalition; and the Real Estate Committee of True Ground (formerly the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing) in Arlington, Virginia.

The appointment of Sheridan underscores CAHEC's commitment to strengthening its leadership as it advances its work in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. CAHEC engages in diverse product areas, including low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, new markets tax credits, and renewable energy credits, in addition to offering loan programs, wellness and education initiatives for residents, affordable housing development, and property management services.
