Burrow & Associates, LLC, a Georgia-based law firm, has announced the launch of the Burrow & Associates Road to Recovery Scholarship, a $1,000 award designed to support one deserving student in covering tuition, books, and other academic expenses. The scholarship is open to students across the United States who are enrolled in or accepted to an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program, including community college students, high school seniors, and GED holders.
To apply, students must submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words responding to three prompts about helping others through injury, illness, and hardship. Along with the essay, applicants must provide a current resume and an unofficial transcript. All materials should be emailed to scholarships@legalatlanta.com by the application deadline of August 31, 2027. The scholarship recipient will be announced on October 1, 2027.
Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate a genuine commitment to assisting others during difficult times. The scholarship is intentionally open to students in any field of study, not just those pursuing legal careers. Qualifying experiences might include caring for a family member after an accident, volunteering with individuals recovering from injury or illness, or helping a neighbor rebuild after a challenging year.
Founding attorney Darrell L. Burrow emphasized the importance of support during recovery, stating, "After a serious injury, recovery depends on the people who step in to help, and we have seen firsthand how much that support matters for our own clients. This scholarship is our way of recognizing students who have taken real action to help others recover and rebuild, and who plan to keep doing that work long after they graduate."
