BHS, Inc., a St. Louis-based manufacturer of custom material handling equipment, has announced a new line of modular attachments for order picker trucks, designed to optimize task-based operations in narrow-aisle warehouses. The attachments include Modular Order Picker Carts, Platforms, and specialized Furniture Carts and Platforms, all available now.
The new product line addresses the growing reliance on order picker trucks in warehouses with narrow-aisle racking. According to Trent Boothe, Technical Sales Manager at BHS, the goal is to make these trucks safer, more productive, and flexible for various tasks. The attachments are custom-sized to eliminate gaps or offsets between the platform and the truck's operator deck, reducing tripping hazards—a common safety risk with some attachments.
The Modular Order Picker Carts feature heavy-duty casters, allowing them to double as pushcarts for ground-level inventory management, while the Platforms omit casters for dedicated use on order picker trucks. The Furniture Carts and Platforms are sized to fit longer forks on furniture order picker trucks. A key advantage is modularity: users can adjust shelf spacing, remove shelves, or add rails and guarding to create an ideal work platform. These bolt-on components can be attached or removed with standard tools.
Boothe emphasized that modular design provides custom performance without the lead times of made-to-order solutions. “We specialize in designing custom equipment, but it takes time to design something from scratch. Our modular solutions ship a lot faster than an all-original product,” he said. This approach allows warehouses to quickly adapt equipment to changing needs without lengthy delays.
The attachments are available exclusively from BHS, Inc. For more information, visit https://www.bhs1.com.
