Bastei Lubbe AG Appoints Tina Jurgens as New Chief Marketing and Sales Officer

The Supervisory Board of Bastei Lubbe AG, a leading independent publishing group in Germany listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange's Prime Standard, has appointed Tina Jurgens as the new Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. She will assume her role on November 1, 2026, succeeding Sandra Dittert, who departed at the end of her term in July 2026 after six years of service.

Jurgens joins Bastei Lubbe from the ZEBRALUTION Group, a prominent digital distributor for book and audiobook publishers. Since 2024, she served as Co-CEO, overseeing operational aspects of digital publishing and podcasts, as well as technology, finance, and HR. Her tenure at ZEBRALUTION began in 2018 as Managing Director, where she established zebra-audio.net (now ZEBRALUTION Podcast), and later became COO in 2022.

Her career includes roles at major German media companies, starting as a product manager at Suddeutsche Zeitung in 2004 after graduating in journalism and communication studies. She held senior positions at Axel Springer, Bayerischer Rundfunk, and BRmedia, specializing in audio content marketing and licensing, and digital business model development.

Carsten Dentler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, praised Jurgens as "a proven media expert who combines long-standing experience in content marketing with extensive digital expertise and an entrepreneurial drive to shape the future." He noted her familiarity with both traditional and digital business models, making her ideal to drive content and brand marketing strategically. Dentler expressed confidence that she will provide important impetus and unlock new potential for Bastei Lubbe.

Jurgens' appointment comes at a time when Bastei Lubbe, known for its popular entertainment books, audiobooks, e-books, and periodical novel booklets, is intensifying its focus on digital channels and community-driven business models. With over 14 imprints and annual revenues exceeding EUR 118 million in the 2025/2026 financial year, the company is positioning itself for continued growth and innovation.

The Supervisory Board also expressed gratitude to Sandra Dittert for her dedication and significant contributions to the company's positive development and profitable growth. As Jurgens prepares to take on her new responsibilities, industry observers will be watching how her digital expertise shapes Bastei Lubbe's marketing and sales strategies in an increasingly digital media landscape.
