Aquinas Senior Living, Inc., a tech-enabled senior care provider, has expanded its resident safety ecosystem powered by Teton's AI monitoring platform across its Pennsylvania portfolio, achieving a 99.8% resident and family adoption rate. Following a benchmark deployment at Heritage Springs Memory Care in Montoursville in November 2025, the system went live at Wynwood House State College on April 1, 2026, and at Wynwood House Nittany Valley in Centre County on April 8, 2026. Only one family across all sites opted out, underscoring strong acceptance of the technology.
Teton's platform uses passive optical sensors installed in resident rooms, requiring no wearables, manual calibration, or charging. The system processes movement data locally, ensuring no live video or audio is transmitted; care teams receive anonymized clips only when needed. The platform is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 certified. According to Teton's research, analysis of more than 2,000 falls across four countries found that measurable signals such as night-time movement patterns and sleep disruption often precede falls by hours or days, enabling early intervention.
As part of the expansion, one Aquinas facility is serving as the official Beta test site for Teton's integrated E-call resident call system. This integration combines traditional assistance requests with fall detection into a single dashboard, reducing alarm fatigue and helping staff prioritize critical needs in real time. "By integrating Teton's computer-vision AI with our new E-call resident response system, we are moving away from disparate 'point solutions' toward a truly unified ecosystem," said Jim Burnham, Chief Operating Officer of Aquinas Senior Living.
The rollout continues with the Teton platform scheduled for adoption at Aquinas's Lewisburg community in May 2026. Stephen J.
