Andina Copper Corporation (TSX-V: ANDC | FSE: FIR | OTCQB: PMMCF) has announced an outstanding drill intercept from hole CDH007 at its Cobrasco Project in Chocó, Colombia. The results continue to expand the Cobrasco Central porphyry Cu-Mo system to the northwest, with the mineralized footprint now measuring approximately 1,000 meters by 500 meters, remaining open in all directions.
Drillhole CDH007 intersected 292 meters at 0.48% copper, 62 ppm molybdenum, and 1.7 g/t silver from 44 meters depth. This intercept closely mirrors results from hole CDH006, which returned 232 meters at 0.68% copper, 75 ppm molybdenum, and 2 g/t silver from 38 meters. Both holes were drilled from a new step-out pad located approximately 400 meters northwest of previous drilling, testing the continuity of mineralization along a SW-NE section line.
The near-surface mineralization in CDH007 starts at 44 meters and continues uninterrupted to 324 meters, where a fault zone terminates the mineralized host unit and grades decrease. Mineralization is dominated by chalcopyrite within structurally prepared zones, transitioning from strong argillic alteration in saprolite to phyllic and grey-green sericite alteration in competent core. Bornite occurs sporadically as disseminations and rims on chalcopyrite. High-grade intervals include magmatic breccias with assays greater than 1% copper between 254-284 meters and 292-324 meters.
Two additional step-out holes, CDH008 and CDH009, have been drilled from the same platform, with extensive visible mineralization observed and assay results pending. These holes aim to test extensions to the north and northwest. The ongoing scout drilling program continues to rapidly expand the mineralized footprint, with every hole completed to date reporting significant porphyry Cu-Mo intercepts from surface or near-surface to depths of approximately 600 meters.

The company is preparing to mobilize a second drill rig to target high-grade intervals and test further mineralized targets. The Cobrasco Project is located along the Andean porphyry belt, and the current results demonstrate a potentially world-class copper porphyry complex comprising multiple intrusive phases and mineralization events occurring at or near surface.
